Do I need a special charger for an AGM battery?

AGM batteries can be charged with most modern smart chargers. Select the AGM setting if your charger has selectable battery type modes. Avoid chargers with equalise stages, as this can damage sealed AGM batteries.

How do I know what capacity I need?

Calculate your daily power consumption in watt-hours (Wh) by adding up the wattage of each appliance multiplied by hours of use. Divide by 12V to get Ah. For lithium, size to 1.25x your daily consumption (80% DoD). For AGM, size to 2x your daily consumption (50% DoD). Contact us for help sizing your system.
