The Truma Water Heater has a powerful gas burner heating the water in your caravan or motor home quickly.  It also has an electric heating element that heats the water even faster.

The boiler has excellent insulation to ensure that almost no heat is lost. If the water temperature drops, the electronics reignite automatically.

When the Truma gas boiler is running, water is continuously reheated while you are showering. This means that a second person can shower immediately afterwards.

Features:

  • Insulation prevents heat loss
  • High pressure resistance of the Truma gas water heater (all submersible and pressure pumps up to 2.8 bar can be used)
  • Safety ensured with electronic control components and overpressure valve
  • Stainless steel container
  • Low gas consumption with high efficiency
  • Option to use on gas only, 240v or mixed mode
  • Very compact, requires little installation space
  • All fittings included are JG push-in connections for easier and faster installation

What type of caravan heater is best?

Diesel air heaters are popular for efficient off-grid heating, while gas and combi heaters are ideal for integrated caravan systems.

What is a diesel caravan heater?

A diesel heater burns diesel fuel to produce warm air, making it highly efficient for caravans and motorhomes.

Are diesel heaters safe to use in a caravan?

Yes, when installed correctly with proper venting and safety clearances, they are safe and widely used in RVs.

Do diesel heaters use a lot of power?

No, they use very little 12V power for the fan and electronics, making them suitable for battery systems.

What is the difference between 2kW and 5kW diesel heaters?

2kW units suit smaller caravans, while 5kW heaters are designed for larger spaces or colder conditions.

Do diesel heaters need a fuel tank?

Yes, most require a separate diesel fuel tank or connection to a suitable fuel supply system.

What is a combi heater?

A combi heater provides both space heating and hot water in a single integrated unit.

Are gas heaters still used in caravans?

Yes, LPG gas heaters are still used, especially in integrated systems like Truma units.

Can I install a caravan heater myself?

Basic kits can be DIY installed, but professional installation is strongly recommended for safety.

Which heater is best for off-grid camping?

Diesel heaters are generally the best option for off-grid use due to low power consumption.
