Do I need a professional to install a Heki roof vent?

Installation requires cutting a hole in the caravan roof and sealing around the vent frame. This is a job most experienced DIY caravanners undertake themselves, but it must be done correctly to avoid leaks. Our workshop can install this for you — contact us to book.

Is the Heki vent suitable for New Zealand's variable weather?

Yes. Heki vents are designed for European conditions which are at least as demanding as New Zealand. The double-dome design provides good rain resistance, and the vent can be left slightly open in light rain without ingress. In heavy rain, close the vent fully.
