BMPro Sway Control
BMPro SwayControl – Active Electronic Stability for Your Caravan
Caravan sway is the most dangerous handling event a towing driver can experience — and it can happen without warning when a truck passes, a gust of wind hits, or road conditions change suddenly. The BMPro SwayControl is an active electronic stability system that detects sway and automatically corrects it, before the driver even has time to react.
Unlike passive sway bars that limit movement, the SwayControl uses sensors to monitor the trailer's yaw (rotational movement) at over 1,000 samples per second. When sway is detected, it independently applies left or right brakes with precise feedback-controlled force to stop the oscillation immediately — all without driver intervention.

Do I still need a sway bar if I have SwayControl?
SwayControl and weight distribution / sway bar systems address sway differently. SwayControl reacts to sway after it begins. A weight distribution hitch with sway control bar reduces the propensity for sway to start. For the best towing safety, using both is ideal — but SwayControl alone provides a significant safety improvement over no active stability system.
Does this work with any brake controller?
SwayControl is designed to work alongside a standard electric brake controller. It uses the brake controller signal to determine when the vehicle is decelerating. Confirm compatibility with your specific brake controller setup — contact us for advice.
Is professional installation required?
Installation involves mounting to the chassis and connecting to the caravan's braking wiring. This can be done by a competent DIY person but is best done by our workshop to ensure correct function. Contact us for a supply-and-install quote.
